Pesto Chicken With Mushrooms


4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
4 tablespoons prepared pesto
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese


In baking dish, place chicken breasts in single layer. Sprinkle garlic salt and pepper over chicken. Spread 1 tablespoon pesto over each chicken breast; top with mushroom slices. Cover and bake in 350 degree F. oven 20 minutes. Remove cover; sprinkle Parmesan cheese over chicken. Bake, uncovered, 5 to 10 minutes more or until cheese melts and chicken is fork tender.
